Tachyon Internet Security 5.0’s practices
Tachyon Internet Security 5.0 recently expanded its distribution through rogue programs and flat-out malware. A wave of users report seeing Tachyon Internet Security 5.0 on their computers without prior consent.
The Trojan Horse viruses, as you all know, are very dangerous pieces of malware and getting one in your computer could mean all kinds of trouble. A typical trait of these infections is their unpredictable nature – a Trojan could be utilized in different ways and used to complete different criminal tasks. Oftentimes, you can’t really know what such an infection is trying to achieve until its job gets completed (and some times, even after that). The key is to detect the malware early and remove it as soon as possible to avoid serious damage to the system and to your virtual privacy and security. Here, Tachyon Internet Security will be our focus – this is a new Trojan and the research on it is still in progress, meaning that not everything is known about this threat. Still, we believe that we can help those of our readers who have it in their computers remove it quickly and safely, by using the instructions available in our Tachyon Internet Security removal guide (you will find that guide further down this page).
What is the Tachyon Antivirus?
The Tachyon Antivirus suite is a set which supposedly protects you from other threats on your computer. Tachyon Antivirus however is distributed by exactly the kind of programs that it claims to remove. This includes Native Desktop Media Service, a know malware.
One of the things that are yet to be determined is what the end goal of Tachyon Internet Security is. We already told you that the Trojan infections can be very versatile threats, and this stems from their ability to gain elevated privileges inside the machines that they attack. What this means is, if the virus succeeds in gaining those elevated (or Admin) privileges, it would be able to do everything in the infected computer that the computer’s Admin can do. This includes but is not limited to accessing and modifying most of the data stored in the machine, starting new processes, ending ones that are currently running, blocking certain programs (and even users) from initiating processes, making changes in the Registry Editor, and so on. Needless to say, this opens all kinds of opportunities for the Trojan – it can try to steal some of your data, it can download more infections (such as Ransomware cryptoviruses) in your system, it can force your computer to mine BitCoins for the hackers, it can use your system to spread spam messages to all of your e-mail and social network contacts, and so on and so forth. This is why it is oftentimes difficult to tell what the precise goal of the malware is.
Is Tachyon a Virus?
The current situation definitely caused a slew of comments asking is Tachyon a virus? As it stands, Tachyon checks many of the boxes that would classify it as a rogue antivirus and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
Even if you do not know what Tachyon Internet Security may be trying to do in your computer, you should still make sure to eliminate the threat ASAP. As we said, the guide you will find on this page can help you with this challenging task. However, since sometimes the manual instructions may not be enough to get rid of everything related to the infection, you are advised to also try out the recommended professional removal tool that is linked here. Using both the manual steps and the anti-malware solution, you should be able to get rid of all malicious data related to the Trojan and thus make your computer safe and secure.
