JSAgent.HTM Virus – How To Remove

JSAgent.HTM Trojan

In this tutorial we will cover how to remove JSAgent.HTM from windows manually

Trojans are perhaps the most well-known as notorious type of malicious code out there, and with good reason, too. Namely, these viruses are responsible for anywhere between 75% and 90% of all malware attacks that occur over the internet. This also means that their numbers far exceed those of other types of computer viruses. This can lead to Antiviruses detecting it as Malicious domain request 22

What is JSAgent.HTM?

JSAgent.HTM is a Trojan horse virus that can infect most operating systems. JSAgent.HTM is among the most recently discovered variants of this type and should be removed immediately from the infected device.

This just goes to show that Trojan horses are the most widely preferred form of malware by hackers, and there are several factors that are responsible for that. For one, these viruses are incredibly versatile. They can be programmed to fulfill a large range of different tasks on behalf of their creators, and this, to a greater extent, sets them apart from, say, ransomware, spyware, rootkits and various other kinds of harmful pieces of programming. Many times it can access the settings of you chrome browser and change search engines like Search Marquis

In addition to that, Trojans are also notorious for their stealth. Their infections rarely have any symptoms that would tip their victims off about their presence. And this allows them to carry out their agenda without facing interruption and risking being exposed.

On the other hand, however, depending on the types of activities that variants like JSAgent.HTM may be running on your PC, they may cause certain symptoms. For example, sometimes a Trojan horse infection may result in frequent BSoD crashes, system sluggishness, involuntary cursor movements and other odd behavior. And although these may very well be signs of a number of other issues, they are certainly something that needs further investigating to determine the underlying causes.

What’s important, however, is that once you have discovered JSAgent.HTM in your system, you are halfway through the process of removing it. All you need to do now is actually do the removing itself, which can be taken care of by closely following the instructions in the removal guide we’ve included just below the current post. And if for whatever reason you don’t feel like you want to do this manually, there is a professional malware removal tool available here as well. With its help, JSAgent.HTM should be gone in a matter of minutes and your system will be Trojan-free once again.

How to avoid future attacks

Having a functioning, well-maintained (i.e. updated) antivirus system is crucial to your system’s safety – no questions asked. But you can greatly aid your computer by not seeking trouble and avoiding potential sources of malware and Trojans like JSAgent.HTM in particular.

There are many ways in which you may have landed this infection, but the most common ones include spam messages, infected downloadable content (read torrents, pirated content, etc.) and malicious online ads. The latter are especially easy to avoid by just staying away from any and all web ads in general. And filtering the type websites you visit and especially those that you download things from should require the use of your common sense and not much else. As for spam messages, look out for suspicious emails or social media messages that contain attachments or links.
